The QICRESET menu system acts as a front end for the QICLINK operator code reset process.
- Technician opens a telnet session to a Linux server that has been setup for QICRESET.
- Upon Login, QICRESET menu system launched. CTRL-C has been disabled. CTRL-Z terminates the connection (the technician shell has been set to be the QICRESET script.
- Technician enters the operator code to be reset.
- (HIDDEN) QICRESET spawns a telnet session to the QICLINK server.
- (HIDDEN) QICRESET logs in to UNIX host and to QICLINK with an operator code that has access to ``sr''
- (HIDDEN) QICRESET accesses ``sr'' and resets the operator code that the user has provided.
- (HIDDEN) QICRESET captures the temporary password provided by QICLINK and displays it to the technician.
- (HIDDEN) QICRESET logs the reset to log file.
